Hello All,
We are experieincing an issue where we are having jobs hang in a que when a printer fails and this will happen for 5 minutes.
The issue isn't about the jobs hanging in a que, and it isn't about the 5 minutes (rspo/tcp/retrytime) parameter. Because when the 5 minutes is up, it will send the jobs to aonother printer and everything is fine.
However, this 5 minute timer is reset every time a new print job is sent. So in theory, if we send a job every 4:59 seconds, the jobs will hang in the que forever and never be cancelled or transferred to another printer.
Is there another parameter or a reason why the timer is reset every time a new job is sent?
A fix idea may be that we either reduce the retrytime dramatically (even 1 second may not be quick enough in our production systems, as we will have constant streams of jobs) and if this time IS reduced or turned off (if there is a way?) is there any implications this may cause?
If this isn't the way to go... What other parameters or settings may be looked at?
Thank you all for your time
